May’s Eucharistic Miracle of the Month: The Pentecost Miracle at Bois-Seigneur-Isaac, Belgium, 1405

Dear Knights and Dames,

As the joyful Easter season draws to a close, we turn our hearts toward the celebration of Pentecost, commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit—the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. This May, we reflect on the profound Eucharistic Miracle that occurred in 1405 at Bois-Seigneur-Isaac in Belgium.

During the sacred time of Pentecost, John of Huldenberg was graced by a vision of the Lord, bearing His wounds, who directed him with the words, “Go into the Chapel of Isaac, you will find me there.” Simultaneously, Fr. Peter Ost, the parish priest, was divinely instructed to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Cross at the same chapel. These synchronized divine calls led to the unveiling of Christ’s Real Presence during the Mass, a miraculous event that continues to inspire the faithful of Bois-Seigneur-Isaac to this day.

As we anticipate the feast of Pentecost, let us invoke the Holy Spirit to kindle in us the fire of His love with the prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the Earth.

O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations.

Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
