AMERICA 250

We the People, We the EOHSJ

Honoring 250 years of independence through service to the most vulnerable children of the Holy Land.

In the spirit of the United States Bishops’ “250 Works of Mercy” campaign to celebrate our Nation’s 250th Anniversary, the Western Lieutenancy asks every Knight and Dame to consider honoring the founding of our great nation by donating $250.00 ($1 for each year of the pursuit of happiness) to support the most vulnerable children at Hogar Ninos Dios, St. Vincent Ain Karem Home for Special Needs, and Creche Holy Family Children’s Home.

As Catholic Americans, we have a proud tradition of transforming secular celebrations into holy ones. It is in this spirit that the EOHSJ and the USCCB are offering us this opportunity to celebrate a nation founded “under God” in charity and love.

We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.
– Declaration of Independence, 1776
